Mission and objectives
The Pelé Pequeno Research Príncipe Institute was born with daring and revolutionary Research Projects. And since the beginning of its activities, the Institute has worked to achieve its great mission: that of increasing the percentage of cure of complex diseases (catastrophic ones) of children and adolescents.
The objectives of the Institute:
- Contribute to the diminishing of the death rate among children and adolescents;
- Develop researches which meet the need for a diagnosis and treatment, focusing on the demand of the assistance programs of the HPP (more serious and complex ordinary diseases);
- Develop research for the cure of complex (catastrophic) diseases of children and adolescents;
- Develop products or processes, substituting and avoiding import or outsourcing;
- Contribute to level the cure rates in Brazil with the best international rates (cancer, aids, degenerative illnesses, innate errors of the metabolism, etc.);
- Contribute to the diffusion and multiplication of the developed products and processes, aiming at the improvement of the rates of cure of Latin American children and adolescents.
