This fund has, as one of its main characteristics, the fact that it is a directed fund, that is to say, all its resources can only be used for and through the keeper of Pelé Pequeno Príncipe Institute – Research on the Health of Children and Adolescents: The Child Care Hospital Association Dr. Raul Carneiro. Its keeper, a philanthropic organization, manages IPPP and besides that, the Pequeno Príncipe Children’s Hospital, the César Pernetta Children’s Hospital Hospital and the Pequeno Príncipe Superior Studies Institute. Its keeper has a formal compromise, signed with the fund, to apply a minimum of 60% of the resources originating from the Research Institute, thus being able to direct a maximum of 30% of the resources to the Hospital activities and the remaining 10% is to be decided where to be spent.
